A Netflix app is something that should have been a first generation app and ready on launch day! An app like this seems like a no brainer for the Iphone, easy to add or delete movies instead of waiting til you have a chance to get on a computer to update your queue.
Phoneflix is such an app that tries to remedy the lack of Netflix apps. The interface looks like a native Iphone application, which means it is sparse but functional. On the upside, the clean interface allows for easy navigation, and it works well. All the features available on the Netflix website seem to be available, except for the watch instantly feature of course. The “recommendation” feature was not working but its not a dealbreaker for me, but it is a prominent feature on the website so it should be able to work on the app.
As a simple “portable Netflix”, it gets the job done, but most apps today have much better graphics and it seems like the old spartan template for iphone apps should be improved upon by now.
